Residential Landscape Projects (partial list)
Bromeliad Garden- Cape Coral
This gentleman did a Google search for “bromeliad garden” and our website came up first due to our extensive work with growing, planting, and even shipping our bromeliads world-wide. Due to his perfectly-shaded area, we were able to design and install a world-class garden featuring bromeliads, cordylines, and Flame Thrower Palms (Chambeyronia macrocarpa). The result is a unique, colorful, and low-maintenance garden that he can enjoy for years to come. He later hired us to do some installations in his back and front yard to complete the look throughout his entire property!
Decorative Rock Theme- Estero
These customers wanted to get rid of all the mulch in their yard because it was overflowing onto their walkways and driveway so we installed 1-2 inch brown egg rock in all of their planters as well as new, colorful, low-maintenance plants and trees. Before we even finished the project they had neighbors stop by and compliment them on the new look! We brought in some decorative Alabama stacking stone for borders and trimmed their existing native palms to complete the updated look.
Estate Landscape Upgrade- Naples
One of our most exciting projects! This upscale estate in north Naples was badly in need of a refresh. We took it a step further by building a one-of-a-kind atrium area featuring rare Lipstick Palms (Cyrtostachys renda), world-class living walls that survive on rain only, and some of the largest American Oil Palms (Attalea cohune) you’ll ever see in a residential landscape. As a result, this home was entered into the prestigious Sand Dollar Award contest for outstanding homes in Naples.
Golf Country Club Home Landscape Upgrade- Fort Myers
This customer was so thrilled with the first landscape that we did for him, he hired us to design and install a complete landscape upgrade in his new, larger home in the Heritage Palms Golf & Country Club. We began by tearing out all the builder-grade junk and then replaced it with our own proprietary low-maintenance design including specimen Royal Palms (Roystonea regia), Foxtail Palms (Wodyetia bifurcata), and Teddy Bear Palms (Dypsis leptocheilos). Take a look at the before and after pictures to see the drastic change and outstanding results.
Gulf Home Landscape Upgrade- Naples
It was a few days before Thanksgiving and this customer had family coming into town. He called us in to give him a plan for a full yard refresh and hired us on the spot under the condition that everything be installed before the holiday. We scrambled to order all the rare palms and plants he wanted and have them delivered in two days. The following day we arrived with a massive crew and get the entire yard finished by the end of that day! Special features included a custom water garden, epiphytic plants hand-tied to his palms, and egg rock placed inside all his pool planter beds to replace the messy mulch. Now, his landscape compliments his view of the Gulf of Mexico instead of taking away from it.
Luxury Rental Estate New Construction- Captiva
Captiva Island is home to some of the largest and most exclusive estates in Southwest Florida. The owner of this property had built a brand-new house and asked us to design a landscape that emulated a resort he frequented in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. We installed large Clustering Fishtail Palms (Caryota mitis) for privacy, Royal Palms (Roystonea regia) to line his infinity pool, and Coconuts (Cocos nucifera) to compliment his 3-story home. Some additional features included an orchard with winding golf cart path, a pergola, and a 21st-century irrigation system with no wires running throughout the yard. He now charges a 5-figure fee per weekend for the world’s elite to rent the property- giving him an excellent return on investment.
Urban Jungle- Fort Myers
We first met this customer at our nursery back in 2008. He told us he was an avid palm collector and wanted to buy some of our rare palms for his garden. We began a good relationship with him and continued to sell him plants, help design his garden, and maintain it for the next 5 years. As you can see, he is really big on color and really exotic palms, cycads, and other tropical plants with nearly 250 species in his 1/5-acre property!
Xeriscape Rock Yard- Sanibel
Can you believe this tropical paradise has no irrigation system whatsoever? A xeriscape or xerophytic landscape is one that requires very little maintenance (maybe once per quarter) and lives off rainfall only. This is becoming a new trend throughout CA, AZ, and NV. While many other companies plant agave, grasses, and boring native trees, we have found an entire group of colorful ornamentals that can thrive with just as little maintenance and really set a landscape apart at the same time. Some of the plants here include Foxtail Palms (Wodyetia bifurcata), Bottle Palms (Hyophorbe lagenicaulis), Cabada Palms (Dypsis cabadae), Coconut Palms (Cocos nucifera), Giant False Agave (Furcraea gigantea), and assorted bromeliads, crotons, and cordylines.
